I heard something on the radio today, and as I think about my friends who happen to be gay men, it seems to hold true. I'm wondering if it's true outside my corner of the world, and since you're probably more involved with the gay community than I am right now, you'd probably be a good resource.

Are you/most of your friends the youngest male in your family of orgin? Particulary youngest with several older brothers?

The premise of the story was something about the male fetus being foreign to the mother, and the more boys she carries, the more likely they are to be gay, due to the hormone break-down or something like that.

Do you think there's any truth in this?

This is a recent scientific study. I know I am a gay male and the first male son of my mother. So clearly this is not the only reason for gay males. However, statistically gay men often have older brothers and this is true and forms much of the basis for this important and interesting study.

I have two older brothers and I am the youngest male. And yes, I believe most of the report and again The Rebel, just because I said NO you don't have to be mean. Its funny, people will jump on the "its a learned behavior theory" but not "its a brain reason theory" when neither can be proven. So until one can, lets assume its a little of both : )

i'm gay, and that i will not stand female gay adult males. and that i'm particularly no longer prepared on flow-dressing gay adult males, yet i do not hate them, that is purely no longer my determination, - like how some immediately adult males choose curvy women, and different thoughts etc.. you're gay, you could't substitute that. And even if chiché that is; there is someone available for you, probable with an identical critiques even, that isn't any longer the first time i have come for the era of a homophobic gay. Oh, and only for the list, i'm attracted to adult males. that would not recommend i pick to sleep with all and distinctive sturdy searching guy I see. #StayClassy.

I am a first born child. I have a younger brother who is straight.

My best friend is the only son in his family

My boyfriend is the middle son of three. has an older and younger straight brother.

All three of us seem to defy this explanation, however, that doesn't mean that the hormone breakdown couldn't be caused by other factors than several sons being born.

There is nothing wrong with it, and i am sure there is some sort of breakdown or split in genes, i believe the statistics show one in five will be gay. sometimes higher than that, but there are chances that all the boys will be str8, or will force themselves to be at least. on other topics boys are boys, they experiment and play around with each other just like some girls do. If they tell you differenly they are lying to you. i have not met a guy yet that has told me different, str8 and gay alike.

The study has validity, but certainly not the only reason. What I am amazed at is the number of NON Gay men (so they say) who troll this site to blast away every chance they get. Personally, me thinks ye protest too much. It is very sad that the only "advice" these children, regardless of their ages, can make is attacks on people they do not know. Unfortunately, they make thier ignorant, if not stupid, selves known to all ... keep it up, boys. Bad Karma begets bad karma....

not at all...that was a study done by canadian scientists. I've known many only male child in the family that turn out to be gay. And only two sons also turn out to be gay....If they only spend their time and money in curing other diseases .....
