I started wearing thongs my freshman year of high school. I think 8th grade would be the earliest to wear them.
As for the age you should stop, I think it depends on the kind of body you have. There are some people that should NEVER wear thongs no matter what age they are. Then there are 75 year old women who still have decent bodies, so I guess it completely depends on the person!!!

First and foremost I have to say,...HEY NEGRA where's your mother I should beat her with a wet noodle, not just for letting you wear thongs but for lacking in the supervision department so much that you could actually get online and tell 40 million pedophiles about it. You seem like a smart girl but that was a stupid,...STUPID thing you just did,....
Anyway, I'd have to say 12 is too young to wear a thong,...at that age you don't even have a curve to showcase,...I'd say atleast 14 to wear one,...(even though I had to wait until I was 17, yes I'm bitter), and I think 70 is too old,...merely because at that point the curtains have probably drapped so far that if they are not held up tight with mega elastic you could trip and fall!!!

Why on earth would anyone want something in their anal area if they didn't have to have it there? I can see wearing a thong if you're wearing pants or a dress that might show an undergarment line, but for crying out loud, why not just wear regular full-back drawers? Better yet, if you're wearing a thong on a regular basis, just wear no underwear at all. It's just a small piece of cloth covering the essential junk of a person. I think females who wear them regularly are trying to make some sort of statement. Maybe something such as "Look at me! I think I'm hot!" It is repugnant to see girls/women wearing low-rise pants and their thong hanging out! Don't even get me started on guys wearing them. I don't want to envision the string between their cheeks and the small pouch covering their peeny. Gross!
Anyway, I recommend not wearing one at any age. They're not cool.

14 is to young and 45 is too old.
Really it's hard to say. Some old people like 30 still look good in thongs.

Also, if you are even a little overweight... then stick to boyshorts!
Actually, boy shorts are sexier anyway.... men will agree... the thong is played out... save it for occasions when the outfit calls for it.
