Cats only care about themselves, so definitely not cats. Rats would multiply too quickly, so not rats. Crows could effectively keep an eye on things, so maybe crows have a chance. A dog's attention span would be divided because they'd be barking about something important and then one of them would find a stick.

I think a dog, rat or crow society would be chaos. Therefore a Cat society would be most effective.

I think the non-primate based replacement species would be the raccoon. They are very smart, omnivores, and have HANDS. I think if given a chance they could develop human like intelligence and could develop a culture.

Crows are up there in the intelligence department, but they would need hands......something I am sure the corvids resent us primates for having.

Crows. Crows are brilliant, they have the ability to fly, in which they could escape most predators, and they can use tools. They are a genius animal, believe it or not.

Well, none of those species will REPLACE us. We may blow ourselves up in nuclear war, and cockroaches remain, but they'll never REPLACE us.

The earth will be in harmony without man consuming all its resources.
