You really cant. A sunburn is skin damage and you skin must exfoliate the old/burned layers to keep you healthy. You can make it less noticible by using a mixture of equal parts rosewater, glycerine and liquid aloe vera. The glycerine moisturizes chapped skin, the rosewater helps it heal and the aloe also aids in healing as well as soothing the burn. You can get cheap glycerine at wal mart. Its in the pharmacy section near the aloe vera juice, rubbing alcohol and tea tree oil. It should be on the top shelf near the boric acid. You can get rosewater and liquid aloe at your local health food store.

Use aloe like crazy! Also, check the aloe ingredients before you buy a bottle. Some are watered down or contain alcohol (which can further dry out your skin). Try to find one that is 100% aloe. A great brand is Fruit of the Earth.

Keeping it hydrated with oil or a heavy cream will help, but if you did enough damage, the skin needs to peel and regenerate.
