Firstly, they'd have to know that your nickname is cha cha. If they do, it is a possibility that they would. Some would do it as a friendly type thing, and others might do it mockingly. If you WANT people to call you that, then spread it around the school. If you don't, you would be well advised to keep it under your hat and maybe only reveal it to your close friends whom you know you can trust not to spill the beans. Enjoy high school. It can be the most fun time of your life, though it wasn't in mine.

Just tell them that's what you want to be called by. When the teacher calls your name, tell him/her that you would prefer "cha cha".

my nick name didn't carry into high school. but it depends on how mature they are and if they are going to ever grow up. haha.. do you like the nick name? they will probably still call you it if it is a nick name they know you like
