29. Knicks: PJ Tucker
30. Trailblazers: Shannon Brown
PJ Tucker
NBA Position: SG/SF
College: Texas
Class: Junior
Ht: 6-5
Wt: 225
Stats: PPG 16.1 | APG 2.9 | RPG 9.5
Has a great combination of strength and athleticism ... Intense competitor ... Scores a lot of baskets by overpowering defenders with his tremendous body strength ... Plays with a lot of toughness. Extremely aggresive, intimidates opponents with his nasty demeanor ... Explosive leaping ability and has the strength to go inside and finish ... Strong one on one skills and looks to drive to the basket ... His ability to create shots for himself off the dribble has improved ... Strong defender ... Tremendous rebounder for a 6-5 player ... Great speed in the open court ... Free throw shooting has shown steady improvement
PJ Tuker fits for the Knicks. There's no need for a shooting guard in New York (Shannon Brown), given the fact that both Jamaal Crawford and Jalen Rose are on the roster. Tucker could be groomed to replace Quenton Richardson at the small forward spot, who appears to be on the decline in New York.
30. Knicks:
Shannon Brown
NBA Postion: Shooting Guard
College: Michigan St.
Class: Junior
Ht: 6-3
Wt: 200
Shannon Brown, clearly the best player on the board fits better in Portland, given its need to replace Juan Dixon at the two guard spot. This upgrade to Brown would provide fellow MSU allum Zack Randoph some help on offence.
Michigan State Junior shooting guard Shannon Brown has been very impressive in workouts, so impressive a number of scouts feel he has leap-frogged his teammate Maurice Ager and should be selected in the 15-20 range.
The knock on him has always been that he is too small and lacks a position, but with his incredible athleticism he's able to overcome that.
Brown is one of the most athletic guards in the draft, his jump shot has vastly improved.
Mr. Jones, though we didn't see eye to eye on some picks (I still think the Lakers need a bigman), I belive overall you did a fine job on your mock draft. Only time will tell how things will work out.

ok the knicks need diaz because they dont have very good driving pg that can deliver (anymore) eaither way i dont care if they pic morrison they still will suck next season, and if the trail blazers r dumb enough to pass on l kyle lowry thier on crack he has a great upsides
Can get anywhere on the floor whenever he wants ... His heart and passion for the game put him on an elite level rarely seen in today's spoiled basketball players ... Rebounding ability is an unusual attribute for a 6-0 guard ... His ability to lock in and defend makes in special as well ... Extremely quick hands and feet, he is incredibly disruptive on the defensive end ...He plays so hard it is difficult to know where he is on the court at all times, just ask Raymond Felton who got all he wanted in the Sweet 16 last year ... His reputation as a winner is unparalleled and his will to win is as strong as they come ... Natural floor general with the ability to get players shots with his quick decision making ... Very physical, he's able to use his great body strength to overpower guards on both ends of the floor ... on the down side
His jumper off the dribble has been one of the few knocks to his game ... Must develop more cosnisistency on his outside shot ... At 6' foot he is a bit undersized, but plays much bigger ... Having come off a slight ACL tear last year his knee recovered faster than I have ever seen or heard a player come back from an injury like that and play productively that same year. So the strength of that knee will be something to watch throughout his career ... His temper and his ability to keep his emotions in check could prevent him from being a heady floor leader if he allows his emotions to get the best of him.
but i mean telfair needs to go 2 clevland and play with lebron and win a championship...

guillermo diaz
Strengths: Diaz is one of the most athletic players in the draft. He features a 42-inch vertical leap, excellent strength, terrific quickness and an explosive first step. Offensively, there are few spots that Diaz is not capable of scoring from, showing a terrific combination of perimeter shooting, slashing ability and shot-creating skills. His aggressive shot-creating style of play appears to be tailor made to the NBA. Diaz has a picture perfect stroke from beyond the arc. Once in the lane, Diaz has wonderful body control and an incredible vertical leap to make spectacular plays look easy.
Weaknesses: The biggest question mark about Diaz’ pro potential is his position. He is most certainly a point guard in terms of size, but his skills do not stack up with what you would expect from a playmaker and he has very little experience running the point. He does not appear to have an amazing wingspan to make up for his size. He often makes things more difficult than they should be, getting too cute in the paint going for a Dwyane Wade-type finish rather than securing two points. Defensively, Diaz lacks a bit in the intensity area, gambling a little too much for steals and letting slower players blow by him.
Outlook: Individually, Diaz didn’t have the type season he thought he would after returning for his junior year. Diaz is an interesting prospect in this draft whose stock fluctuates depending on who you talk to. His stock was at an all-time high last year after nearly taking Miami to the NCAA tournament by himself. Knee surgery over the summer forced him to change his style of play. Once the season ended, he decided to enter the draft and hire an agent.
# 30 thabo sefolosha
Strengths: Sefolosha has good size for a shooting guard with a very nice wingspan. He’s a smooth athlete, not incredibly explosive, but clearly possessing necessary physical attributes. Playing in the very strong Italian first division, Sefolosha has shown that he can face-guard players from positions 1-3. Defensively he has terrific footwork, quickness, and intelligence. Sefolosha does the little things like blocking shots and getting in passing lanes. His best attribute might be his rebounding ability. Offensively, he is mostly a slasher. He is a good ball-handler with either hand and is a creative passer who is highly unselfish (to a fault at times).
Weaknesses: His offense has always been considerably behind his defense and is only recently beginning to catch up. His 3-point shot is his biggest weakness, mainly due to poor mechanics. He is a decent shooter with his feet set, but loses accuracy when shooting off the dribble. While he is a good slasher at the European level, his ball-handling will have to improve to maintain this in the NBA, as his first step is not quite as explosive as most shooting guards.
Outlook: Something that he can’t do anything about, but could still affect his draft stock, is the fact that he hasn’t been on the radar for long. Sefolosha has a multiyear contract, but has a clear NBA buyout set at the end of each year for less than the maximum amount ($500,000) NBA teams can pay. Sefolosha has a very good chance to land somewhere in the bottom half of the first round, particularly if he can make it over to the States and have some strong workouts. Anywhere in the second round he would be a steal. NBA teams have the unique option of keeping him overseas for another season to let him develop against strong competition with heavy playing time.
Comparison: Josh Howard
