when you first start selling avon you automatically get 50% off everything you sell. After you have sold in 5 campaigns then you make a percentage of the amount you sell. Which the percentage still is decent. The more you sell the better it gets. I just started and I am now on my 7th campaign and I do pretty well. I started because i wanted to make extra cash and it has done that for me. Plus all rep's get discounts and free stuff all the time. So if your looking for something that you can meet people, make extra money and have the freedom of being your own boss and setting your own hours..... I say go for it. what girl doesn't love makeup!!!

I am an Assistant Avon Sales and Business Development Manager, Independant Sales and Leadership Representative. You make your own hours, and the number of hours you want to work per week. In a 2-week period, let's say you give out 100 brochures, that may take up to an hour. Answer the calls that come in from those brochures. Deliver products and collect payment. You may be looking at a total of 3-6 hours every two weeks. Assume you have a $400 order. You would have $80 and $200 profit. At 6 hours and making $80.... that's over $13 an hour. You can spend more time at it if you wish. The least you can earn with Avon is 20% and the most for sales is 50%. However, in Avon Leadership, the income is unlimited, as you are paid bi-weekly on the SALES of your downline unit. Avon does not pay a leadership rep based on the number of contracts received. Avon pays based on the sales from those contracts.

I think it depends on how hard you are willing to work. There are people who sell Avon as a full time business, and some who do it on the side.
I sell Avon, and it works for me because I can get discounts on the things my family uses most (i have 5 kids, and 3 of them are teenagers).
Plus I can get stuff to give as gifts at a discount price (like for birthdays & holidays). Usually, the percentage I make is enough to pay for my own order and my books for the next order, so I break even.
Sometimes it does seem like it is more time consuming than it is worth, but ultimately the final decision will be yours. You should weigh the pro's and con's as they relate to you to determine if you think it's worth it.
Good luck on your decision!

At home marketing businesses can be worth it if you have a good product (Avon is general recognized as an excellent product) and you treat the business like a full time job. If you just play at it, it won't be worth it. However if you have (or learn) some sales skills and put in the time it can be well worth it.

How you will sell avon products? And If no one buys the products then you will have to use all.
I would recommend you to do Data entry job which is done by just entering simple data from home. This amazing system allows you to earn $1000 per day.
Check the link below for more details.
Hope this helps.

I'll tell you buying the books, samples, sacks, etc. Unless you buy a lot of Avon for yourself it isn't worth it.

I don't think its worth it if you aren't able to sell a lot. You will also get discounts for your own products. If you don't buy much for yourself and you sell lots of products then it will be good.

I have only met one person that says she likes it but yet she has a full time job also and she puts alot into it and has tons of customers. So I would guess it is not worth it if you won't have alot of customers. I would never do it.
