I saw Spain up 1-0 at like 35minutes in and figured, oh they'll win, went back to my class, get home and see they lost 3-1....I was really looking forward to Spain and Brazil...but France looks like they got a shot too...maybe.

LETS HEAR IT FOR GHANA...they were playing very well for a while but...well points speak louder than who played better.

I had heard that Spain would choke but I thought they would get through. The French have struggled a little to find their form but have succeeded in a win. I wonder how the game would have gone had they not have been given the opportunity to capitalise on that ridiculous foul played up by Henry. These intentional fake dives and injuries really are getting out of hand and I do not believe that this is the way the pioneers and past champions of the game intended for the game to grow and develop. It's disappointing this has become an accepted part of the game .

As for Ghana what can be said. What a courageous team they are. They have provided us with some wonderful and entertaining football and are to be congratulated on their wonderful achievements in this WC. They have been a pleasure to watch.

Well in the end France seemed to have control of the ball most of the time, and France always had more opportunities to get a goal. I guess Spain just couldn't keep up towards the end. It's sad to admit all this because i didn't want France to win but they just played alot better than Spain.
I was too sleepy when watching the BrazilVGhana match so once i thought it was Brazil 3 Ghana 2 so i was surprised but then i realized it was 3-0 Brazil lol

No, typical Spain (and I cheer for them at every WC and Euro). They are the world's worst chokers.

I just hope France play like that and better and put Brazil to the test. Love the Brazlian babes but this Brazil '06 team is not vintage Brzail...yet.

yeah it surprised me.I thought Spain was going to win but at the end of the day its always the team with the goals that move on.Both Ghana and Spain had more ball possesion but that is not the most important thing in football.

I was surprised that is was so hard for france to get started on the goals! I thought it wouldn't be too hard for france to win but they did struggle.

Well, I was a bit surprised and very disappointed... but as long as FIFA ban Thierry Henry for his blatant cheating, I'll be happy! I mean, OK, he was elbowed in the chest, but that was no excuse for him going down like a dying swan clutching his FACE!!! GRRRRRRR!!!!
