cuz they think tht since they live here might as well cheer for the us......i mean i live in the us but im cheering for Argentina cuz i kno they r good compared to the stupid american team....i mean y should they evn try to be great at soccer!

Because we have patriotism for our Team and country like you do with yours which is probably not good either.
This is probably the most idiotic question asked today.
It's not like the US is the only team that's lost so far, there were other teams that talked as much junk and ended up losing yet we don't hear questions like these about them. I guess you have to say this stuff to make yourself feel big with your european friends.

Let me tell you something, sister. You are not an american. Maybe by citizenship, but not by spirit. If you don't like America, you can feel more than free to go right back to where you came from.
(P.S. - the majority of Americans don't really give a damn about soccer. It's a secondary sport along w/ darts & curling......)

Because they want to be patriotic.Frankly I knew Ghana will be beaten by Brazil but I was still cheering for Ghana.That is how to show your love for your country.

because they're Americans and I love America. Besides, our best athletes play different sports, we don't really care about "futball" as much as the rest of the world.

maybe because they are from the US? who else would they root for? i might root for Ireland because I am of Irish ancestry, but I probably wouldn't if they were up against the US.
