I feel that the abuse reporting has lagged, but so has the number of people who truly care about answers. If we are not here to fight then the poop slingers have freedom to put there poop everywhere.
I myself am not afraid of using the abuse button (If I was what the heck would it be there for?) I feel that if more of the loyal Y!Aer get back into action and fight a good fight against it we can win. How is Y!A supposed to build there volume and succeed if a new person opens the page and all they see is "Do you think my aviator is sexy?" or "Who wants to chat with me?" or better yet the worst "I am Horny." I for one am sick of this.
I am helping in Richard's plan to fight against it, it is about time someone stood up rallied the troops and sent us to battle. The more people that RAMO the more clean Y!A can be. And it can become more worthwhile again.

I do that sometimes, but only if someone REALLY deserves it. I think very carefully about whether I should report abuse or not, I make sure the answerer/asker hasn't put it in a context that can be taken more than one way, I try to make sure it is clearly an abuse of the rules, I generally report abuse when people are being downright mean and rude to anyone, not just my friends and rellies. I've got a feeling the YAT aren't on top of the abuse reports, I think people have already mentioned it would be a good idea to have veteran users working for the YAT and helping them make this site a better place, ah, yes, I remember the good old days......................(I'm off to reminisce now).

Hello dear friend!
Well, I must say that I don't report abuse. I'm not sure how many users are actually on Answers, I imagine in the million category. It would be impossible to report abuse on all the filth that comes through here...and I'm starting to really believe the Answers team is lagging when I hear someone receives a violation and gets their question immediately deleted for having "additional details" construed as "chatting" where as it takes a DAY to get a question pertaining to child abuse/molestation off.
The only questions that I have, and will continue to report on when I see them, are the disgusting ones about child molesting. I think I even reported a question that was EXTREMELY racist. If I see a question in poor taste, (which happens a lot), I just don't bother with it, and move on to something more worthy of my attention.

yes someone does have ramo mojo left in their system
has the spirit dwindled? no...maybe...possibly...
perhaps everyone needs to be given ramo mojo shots, to get their spirits up again
then again, a constant barrage of abuse reports, no matter how deserving of them the questions and answers are, probably won't do much in the way of cleaning up the site...so many reports, so few working on them, that's really the problem here

No, I don't. It is frustrating to report and report and see the same old crap up there over and over. It is like the reports are ignored. I don't know what the solution is, but i really wish that someone would figured.
