Well there's lots of signals, but since I'm not sure how old you are, I would suggest asking your mom or a female family member that is mature and someone you trust, like an aunt or cousin.

Puberty is something that comes along gradually. After time, you will see different changes in your body. Your breasts might become larger, you might notice hair growing in places you never had it before, your voice might become more mature, and your hips may get wider. Along with puberty comes your period. Nobody really knows for sure when your period will come for the first time, but there are signs leading towards it. You might feel cramps in your lower abdomen or swollen or tender breasts. If you feel as if your period will be coming soon, prepare yourself by buying pads or tampons. It can also be helpful to talk to your mother, grandmother, sister, other female relatives, or any female outside of the family that you feel close to. You can even talk to a doctor!
