The definition of infinity is that there is no beginning or end. Yet even the Bible says "In the beginning." So, if God came into existence at some point, what created "Him?"

Oh good grief. Physics 101. Time is a function of the physical universe. One of the four dimensions we easily observe. It has no existance outside the boundaries of creation. God did not exist "before" creation. He exists beyond it. The Creator is not bounded by his creation. There was no "before" creation, as time itself is a function of that creation. Nor will there be an "after" for the same reason. The fact that we cannot comprehend an existance outside of time doesn't limit God. It limits us.

It doesn't say in the beginning of God--it probably means the beginning of the universe. And infinity would include all time, including the present.

wow. That's a really good question. Um... Nobody knows. Only God, ironically. That's really hard to answer too. God is infinity, though. And God is everything. So that's what I think.

I agree with Drakestone..."In the beginning" means, the beginning of mankind, not God. God has been here from time indefinite, If God thought it was important for us to know any more details, he would certainly tell us.

"Infinite" is a concept that we can say and define, but that we will never fully understand.
To us, humans, everything has to have a beginning and an end. We could not possibly conceive existance as endless, because we ourselves are mortal.

The universe *is* infinite, however, even though we will never be able to fully comprehend it.

the bible isnt to be translated literaly but even so the begining that is being spoken of is not of god but of the world. it is easiest to think of god as always having been in existence and to not worry about our perception of time and how that relates to Him.
