He probably violated his parole, or committed another infraction, or both.
Best of luck and God bless.

it depends on if he is serving 30 days for the same crime or if it is a different crime he got to do his bid.if it is for the same crime sometimes when you are sentenced for multiple offenses time can be delt out all at ounce for the multiple which is concurrent sentencing and if each crime has to be served out by there deration each meanting you go to jail for 30 days but violation is obvious so I hope this help you really shoud contact a lawyer cause it is possible that if everything cool it could be double jeopardy and there restitution for that so finding a lawyer that will talk to you should not be hard
take my bs for what it is or what it ain't

Why don't you contact the state or your lawyer to find out? Did he violate his house arrest? Many people serve jail time and do house arrest. Not uncommon.

Maybe the house arrest was pending his court date, and at his court date, was actually when he was formally sentenced to the jail time.
I'm not really sure if that's not it, why they would do that other than if he had broken his house arrest.

I used to be a prison chaplain.
A lot of sentencing guidlines do both in order to have a stronger ability to possibly deter the offender from re-offending afterwards.
