depends on where you're from. Some people don't even need visas to come here (US), but others do. You should check with the consulate in your country or the state dept. website.

If you're from a Western country (UK, France, Germany, etc.) or a close ally like Japan, you can stay without a visa for 90 days.

All others require a valid visa to enter the United States. If you're from one of those countries and fly into the U.S. without a visa, you'll be denied entry, held in police custody, and deported from the country as soon as possible.

Regardless of whether a visa is required, you'll need to bring your passport.
