I love my girlfriend and I am seventeen. Some of my friends say I dont really love her but I really do. They say that they dont believe in love when people are this young.

I definately love her I have felt very strongly about her forever and she had a bf and i never told her anything. About a month ago i finally convinced myself to tell her how i felt and she dumped her bf of a year and a half. She told me she has felt the same way about me the whole time.

How can you put an age limit on an emotion? I'm 17 and out of High School now (I will be 18 In one month) and I have been dating my boyfriend for 3 years and I have loved him since I was 15. Your friends obviously don't know and have never expirenced love. Love is one of the strongest feelings there is. Many times before I was with my boyfriend, I thought that I was in love.......... I didn't know what real love was. I started to date my boyfriend my freshman yr. of high school, we fell in love sophomore yr. we are still together and still in love......The thing that people have to realize is that there is no age limit to an emotion. some peoples comprehension of love matures earlier than others, thus being able to be able to expirience love earlier than others. I have no doubt that you are in love and it doesn't matter what your friends or family thinks, you are the one who is feeling this feeling and you are the one who can determine what you feel....no one else can. What do your friends think then? Do they think that there is a certain age at which you just randomly can start to love? I say WTH to them....LOL ask them what about back in the "olden days" when people used to get married as soon as there bodies were mature enough to produce offspring for girls that is as young as 12 people used to fall in love and get married at 13, 14, and so on. It is society that has changed all of thet today making the young generation think that they arent' capable of decieding things for themselves. No matter how young you are you can love....and you are your own person and that is your decision.....not anyone elses

I don't think there is any age requirement. if you love her then you love her. But keep in mind that we all go through changes as we grow and change and the 2 of you may not change the same ways as you age. You may both love each other very much right now, but that may not always be the case.
Some people meet the love of their lives at age 6, others at 60.
As long as you enjoy being together stay together, but don't let pressures from other people or trying to "prove" that you love each other affect your relationship. Getting too serious too young can make it hard for a relationship to grow or for you to grow as individuals.

I don't feel that there is an age limt to love per se, but love means different things at various ages. The reasons why I loved someone at the age of 17 would not make me love someone at the age of 27. Love and it's meaning are dynamic.

No I dont think there is any age people get married when they are 18. Thats just an opinion your friends are telling you. If you found the right girl then thats ausome they probably aint use to people finding a good woman that young but dont worry its fine.

no i dont think theres an age limit to be in love it just happens to people at different times and its usualy when people are older and more settled but i think the younger you are and you fall in love with that person the longer you have to be with them

love can come in at many ages. it blooms earlier in some and later in others. if you really love her then stick to your answer and ignore what everyone else tells you. only you know what you feel and no one can prove you otherwise.

They're just jealous, you can be in love at any age, man.
But hey, do you love her, or are you in love with her? I fell in love with my girlfriend last year and we are still in love.
