Join your local theatre group. it is a good way of getting to act in a play as well as meet new friends and learn a new skill. You can contact your local council's leisure services department to find out where your local theatre is if you don't already know. Alternatively, get your friends together and direct and star in your own play and get the neighbours and other friends to come and watch it. Charge an entry fee and give the money to charity

It is great that you have identified something you really want to do.
Start with a local amateur group - check out on the internet or local library.
Take it from there!!
Shake a leg!!
