I have not read the book, or even heard of it.
Being a gorean phrase of farewell, the book sounds very intellectual and emotive, however it is not common or popular as I was unable to find anything about it on the web.
If it is, as you say, about a city girl adapting to life in the country, then it sounds very good. "It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change".
