The + or - just refers to whether or not he has a specific antibody. Homer could have been AA or AO. If Homer was AO, and if Marge was any blood type containing O, then it's entirely possible. We get one part of our blood from each parent. If Homer was AA, then there's no way, baby!

Yes, it is very possible. Homer could have A+O- blood, in which case he can either pass A+, A-, or O-, O+ blood to his kid. The mom have to pass on the other O- though.

Ther is no such thing as double o- blood. The blood type he would be would involve a lot of genetics testing, including his mother, Marge's blood type
