Contact the university and ask for their help. Contact the social services (welfare) office in the area where the college is and ask for their help. Or contact the local housing authority. Sometimes you have to do some digging to find out who is in charge of housing grants depending on the area, but you won't learn anything if you don't ask the questions. Also, there is usually a waiting list for housing grants, so be prepared to pay your rent out-of-pocket until you get approved. Good luck!

Contact the welfare ageny where you're moving and ask them about it. Also, if you have been renting or have never owned a home before, you can get some kind of grant through FHA or FHO or whatever. Also, try asking the college about the grant they should be able to help out =) Good Luck
