This happened to me last December. I wound up in ICU. What to do about my disabled/non-driver husband, the house, getting around etc. The Hospital I was in sent a Case Manager (an RN with Social Services training etc) to visit me in. She really helped. I could not believe the amount of available services in my area. There are Catholic Charities, Jewish Chariles, Lutheran Charities, none of whom care what (or if) your religion is. There is a low/no fee medical or seniors transportation service. The list went on and on. If you have the $ or not, services are available. Hopefully, so are REAL friends!!

What you need to do first is to make some friends., some will be closer that others, but you do need one or two close friends that will be able to stand by you in time or any serious car accident , or health crisis. You may try you local Parish , of Church and join some clubs or areas of interests, like sports etc.

There is no easy answer to this. Hopefully a close friend can help out with doctor visits and getting medicines etc. The last option is have the hospital assign a social worker to help.

you can go to the main portal of the Fed. Govt. which is firstgov.gov and then go to your state's Dept. of Human Services and file a claim. You will have to be completely pennyless with any possible source of income now or in the future, completely dried up.

this is tough. wow, catholic charities can help some, but just look at many people that are homeless and medical problems. very grim. If this hasn't happened, buy insurance that covers being unable to work.

I would refer to my love, my friends, my colleagues, anyone closer to me in those moments, like pedestrians, if in a car accident!!! I don't know really what your question means, but I tried, if you think that this might help someone, I would be happy to know! Blessings!
