I'd say B is worse... You can live a good life and still have regrets... Once you do that one thing that 'screws up the rest of your life' though, there's nothing you can do to take it back. You're... screwed.
...For instance, I have some specific regrets about things I wanted to do in the past... When I really think about it, though, I have the comfort of knowing that I was almost definitely better off for skipping out on 'em...
Besides, if I wanted to go back there, I could. 'Not' doing something can be temporary. Doing it is permanent.

A. Here's why. As the theory goes, you should learn something for everything you do. By that accord, anytime you don't do something, you miss an opportunity, regardless of the circumstances.
Obviously there are situations you should avoid, but taking risks is important in developing who you are and what you become. For example, when I first got into college, I asked, seriously, about 10 different girls to go out and all declined, typically saying things ranging from "I'll have to ask my boyfriend" to "Well, there's this guy I'm kinda seeing" to the near life shattering "Sorry hun, I'm married."
As a result, I was kinda desperate and wanting a girlfriend. What did I do? I decided to go out with a friend I knew back home for over 6 years. Problem is she almost immediately cheated on me (I'm in Ohio and she's a state away, so it's not like it was particularly challenging or anything) and then became rather distant.
What's worse, she cheated on me with one of my other best friends that I'd known longer than her. Case in point: I don't talk to her and I don't talk to him anymore at all. I have no regrets in this as it taught me to always be cautious, never be desperate, and caused me to have better relationships.
I'm now married and have a daughter. So you see, this unfortunate experience thrusted me onto a different path and mindset about relationships in general. Couldn't be happier and couldn't care less what those two are doing right now.

Worst is doing something that screw up the rest of my life because the damage has been done, what if you had killed a person accidentally, don't you regrets?how do you like to be put in jail for a lifetime or died in a gas chamber? Not doing something is normal to regret but to regret is not a lifetime problem for me, i can do it now, tomorrow or in the future! It is better to skip the opportunity than having a bad past!

B. Because with A all that comes of it is wondering the outcome if you would have done something but didn't. With B, your pretty much screwed for life depending on what it was that you did. You'll not only regret doing it, but things such as going to jail etc. could be the outcome.

B because I'd rather live my life regretting something that hasn't happened then live my life wishing something didn't happened and having to cope with it being depressed and all. Once you screw up something for the rest of your life, you can't turn back the hands of time and undo it.

A, it sucks to live life with regrets. Because if you at least did something you can have the satisfaction of at least trying and screwing up so there is no real reason for regret.

The way it was worded...
A) Because the idea of regretting something you didn't do vs. being screwed for the rest of my life for doing something... would be better.

Not doing something and regretting it is way worse. Whatever you passed up could have been the one great thing that changed your life for the better. Life is no fun without taking risks.
