I enjoyed this game very much. I think the French had more control over the game, and I realized that until today the Spaniards had been playing against much weeker teams. I thought they had a chance... and the French played so badly in their previous games.

But today, the magic of '98 was back. The first goal was great. The second was strong. The third was just perfect, not only because it secured the win but also because we could all feel happy for Zidane --all, except the supporters of the Spanish team.

After many boring games (ENGLAND-ECUADOR, ITALY-AUSTRALIA, the Swiss against Ukraine, and the complicated PORTUGAL-HOLLAND affair) today's event came right in time.

It was a very even match. I think that the foul against Henry that led to France second goal wasn't a foul, I haven`t seen yet the replay but that is my impression. This goal was decisive and I'm not sure it was fair. Before that goal, anyone could win, both teams had the opportunities. I like very much how Ribery played in the French team. France third goal was because Spain had to risk in the attack in the last minutes, and left the defense alone.

Both teams played well, but I think that Brazil, Argentina and Germany are offering a more solid performance. The winner will be one of them I think.

I think the french team played their best match ever since 2002! Although it's true that the foul on Henri was not really justified, but the french team had also been the "victims" of many bad referee decisions like the "hand-ball" in france-swiss and the "would have been second goal" in france-korea. The third goal by Zidane nearly bought tear into my eyes; he might be old, but he's still DAMN GOOD!!! Would love to see them beat Brazil :p

The performance by France shut up all the critics who utterly criticizing the french side for being a older team. The Spanish team was full of youth, but atlast french experience did it all.

Truly awesome. I am glad that the "curse" that is hovering above Les Bleus has been lifted. They are more confident and are gelling together as a team. I hope they carry on with the spirit all the way to the final. I would really like to see Zidane ending his career with a plomb and a wonderful memory to look back.
