When you hear a song, or see a sheet of music what feelings are brought by the sweet dance that music has with the mind?

My parents always listened to classic rock only, and all the kids I ever knew or went to school with would listen to hard rock or rap, and I never liked any of it at all. I was beginning to think that I just don't like music, but one day I bought my first CD (I was 17 by then), and it was more of a techno-pop, and I was hooked! I got to play it in my mom's car and the bass was so loud and thumping that my heart was pounding and it gave me goosebumps! Pop and techno typically have more catchy, happy melodies, and that is what I've come to like more than anything else. It has to be a happy melody, and it makes the melody, to me, seem like it was deliberately thought of to sound that way. With rock it's all about the instruments, and the melody comes as whatever is compatible with the chords and scales that the instruments follow. So, I never understand a rock song about something happy that has a sad melody, or vice versa. The melody should match what the lyrics are about, and I find that pop songs are more like that. I'm not necessarily a fan of adult contemporary, but really just the very young pop music, full of synthesizers and bass. LOL I'm 24 so it is a bit unusual, but since my taste in music is so particular, music that I really like gives me goosebumps, because I always have to search really hard for it, and when I find it, it's exactly what I agree with. I mean, some of the songs I've found are so precisely to my taste, that it feels like I would write that exact same song if I were to write a song that I totally find to be great... It may seem a bit shallow for someone to be into plastic pop above all else, over classic rock, adult contemporary, R&B, or classical music, but it is oddly the only music that I like and that sounds inspiring to me. I mean, for these pop songs it seems like the whole song is made to be one image, instead of all kinds of different sounds blaring separately...

Music has changed my life in so many ways the same with dancing when i am dancing in my class in front of the mirror wall, i don't see the outkasted girl who wants escape. I see a girl who has everything she will ever need in life in the beat of the music. The beat of the music changes me and makes me a fighter so i am fearless. Nobody and nothing can stop me when I'm listening to music! that's how it changed my life.

Various pieces of music affect me differently. One way music has changed my life is that now, by listening to soothing classical music at bedtime, I can sleep. Much better than pills!!
