For about the past year i have been having VERY heavy periods that include painful cramping. My periods last about 7-14 days and also include large blood clots...i would like to know if anyone has had this and could possibly tell me what to do. ALso i have fainted once before because of the blood loss i suppose.

It could be a number of things. It sounds like it could be fibriods or endometriosis. You really ought to go to the gyn and get checked out. You could also be anemic at this point. Please go get help.

That isn't normal you need to go to the doctor NOW!! You need to get that under control! Normal periods don't last 2 weeks!! You need to see the gynocologist!! If you have fainted and there are large clots involved you have a serious problem!! You probably will be put on birth control to control your periods but you need to do something!! Don't wait go NOW!!!

I had this. i went to my OB-GYN, he set up a laproscopy (slight out patient surgery, very easy). To make this quick, I was anemic (low iron,so you may want to take a daily over the counter vitamin), had a tumor (he removed it at the surgery) and got a uterine eblation (google it). I am glad I went, I had periods so bad, I had to stay in bed for 3 days, in pain, and because I had to change femininities every hour. It won't hurt to have the surgery, and to put your mind at rest, and if it helps, its all worth it.
