A woman was psychic and saw a little girl taken by somebody and it ends up being her own daughter. The killer chants "you ain't worth a dollar, you ain't worth a cent" and the (psychic) mother ends up in the same insane hospital the killer was in as a child and she finds the words to the chant written on the wall underneath the wallpaper. The killer was tied toa bed as a child and almost drowned during a flood and there is something about an apple orchard too. No one believes in the psychic's visions at first but then everything she sees comes true. I saw this movie on HBO in 2000 and have been searching for it for the past 5 years, cannot remember the name and no one seems to know what I'm talking about. Any information helpful!

Wow, you too liked that movie?

It's "IN DREAMS", by the way.

Robert Downy Jr is a redhead psycho killer with his very own horror house/apple barn by the lake

Anett Benning is a smart psychic who slowly looses everything she has, her daughter, her husband and eventually her sanity

There are some very very beautiful scenes in the movie, and almost all of them include apples and/or red color

The story is also so refreshingly original & unpredictable, you can never really tell what is going to happen next.

And the whole movie is... well... disturbing, that's the word. It is scarier that most of the real horror movies. It makes you think, amd when it finished, tour mind is kind og trembeling, you are puzzeld and have a strange feeling...

That is what makes movies great in the first place: that after-effect...
And that is the reason why there are not many really good movies.

In Dreams w/ Robert Downey Jr., beautiful film.

Claire Cooper dreams strange things from time to time. One night, she dreams about a little girl being taken away by a stranger, right in her neighbourhood. When her own daughter Rebecca is kidnapped and murdered only a little later, Claire is sure about the chilling truth that her and the killer's mind are connected to each other in dreams. But nobody believes her being able to foresee the killer's next steps, as she could with her own daughter. In addition, the nervous breakdown she suffers gets her into a mental facility after a suicide attempt. And here, locked away in a padded cell, she dreams of her husband being murdered..."

If you can remember any of the actors in it, you could do a search on Internet Movie Data base, or IMDB to look up how many films they did and the years they made them.
