No way. Refs are accused of this simply because when they make a mistake it is more visible than when a player makes it (except the goalie maybe!)

Refs cannot do their job anymore because players cheat, they dive, they are coached to dive, they moan constantly, they are paid too much and they are the ones that are ruining this great game.

Right, thats off my chest now.

It looks like some of them need some serious training. Because some of the refs i've seen suck. I wouldn't be surprised if it was because of their bad calls that costed some teams a game.

No. Under the circumstances, they have been using their best judgement from their point of view. They are human and make mistakes in judging. We viewers have the advantage of replay and multiple-angle views due to technology available. I suppose, to get over any such complaints, we should then allow referees the advantage of this microscopic view advantage through the 4th empire tele-communication. This could have then avoided the heartache like in Aust - Italy situation. That killed the joy of the 90 minute skillfull play.

I would agree that they show alot of favoritism towards other teams... It's stupid though... I mean hell just let them play the damn game... I mean it beats the whole idea of actually trying to win... Especially when the Ref. are showing favoritisms...

some seriously look for mistakes in one team and overlook the mistakes in other teams. also they have been giving TOO MANY yellow flags , i mmean once you get the FIFA world cup record for most yellow flags issued ever then you know that you are getting a little carried away.

classic example of Bad refs Ghana vs. Brazil that seconfd goal should not have been counted toatal favouritism

i don't think they're showing favoritism, or being bribed
fifa is moving more towards being stricter for the rules
and teams are moving further away from the rules
they're under strict supervision

however, they are being paid

Yes, corruption happens, but that is part of being human, the choices people make. How one controls the temptations he or she faces is what constitutes his or her true value as a human being .

you can't always tell, because.....hey, noone knows whats going on in their head, but about the paying i highly doubt it, fifa trains and selects their reff sooo carefully. they do backround checks, to see if before on a regional level they gave bad calls, or accepted money
