Don't feel too bad. :) I'm 34, I live in CA., and haven't been many places either. I've been to Nevada, Arizona, Alaska, Colorado, Illinois and Florida. Also British Columbia (Canada), Mexico and a few Caribbean islands. I feel very bad that I've seen so few U.S. states, and I feel even worse that I've never been to Europe. :(
Anyway, since you live in WA., I would say you should DEFINITELY visit Canada! :) It's just over the border; what are you waiting for? Plus, you should definitely visit California -- it truely is the most eclectic of all the states. Depending on where you go, you can visit hot deserts, snowy mountain tops, lush forests, sandy beaches, rolling wine country vineyards, huge cities, small towns, and everything in between! :D

Travel Washington!! It's a beautiful state. Be a tourist in your home town for a day, discover little spots you never knew were there. I discovered a small park overlooking the Columbia here in Oregon while on my vacation.
If you really want to leave the country, Tequila, Jalisico, Mexico (it's a short bus ride from Guadalajara, which is also beautiful) was AWESOME. You can hop on a trolley and take a tour through the Jose Cuervo distillery, shop, site see and the people were extremely friendly to this white girl.

You might think this is a cheesy answer, but the definition of travel is really in the eye of the beholder. I hear that you live in a beautiful part of the country with not only a major city but also an abundance of outdoor beauty and activities. Travel is good, but enjoying life is better. Wherever you choose to go, try not to overlook the beauty that is right there with you.

How about some place that transplants you to another time in history? For example, you could go to Scotland and see medieval castles.
