I love my friends even if they are usually put into a box labled with loser. I've never been into their anime thing and they've never been into my girly thing. Everything they're into is anime or sci-fi, and I've never liked either of those. I love to shop, I love Starbucks, and I love pink. My one friend who might have done these things with me moved 3000 miles away. Most of the people who like these things that I'm into are preps. Will they hate me? Is it wrong?

I don't think they're losers. Some of them I've known since kindergarten. Other people think they're losers. I don't want to be remembered as "the girl who might have been kinda cool with the loser friends." They're awesome in their own way. But I have a lot of interests that they don't.

First off, you need to stop thinking of your friends as "losers". That's silly and only makes you a loser.
It's really to bad that your best friend moved away. I know how much it hurts when you really want to do something with someone but the only person who will do your kind of thing lives miles away.
I'd suggest that you stay in contact with your friend who lives far away and go visit her (him?) as often as you can. And go ahead and hang out with the "losers". Be nice to them and they'll be nice to you, insult their tastes and they'll insult your tastes. I'm sure you guys can get along well if you actually like eachother like you say you do.
And don't hesitate to try and meet more likeminded people, just expect that very few of them will make awesome friends and no one will ever replace your best friend.

Oddly I love to shop,go to Starbucks and my favorite color is pink as well...Oh and I love anime.:PI love all of those things and people really wouldn't call me a prep. I don't really label myself because I don't think it matters. I think you need to look past the stereotypes and try and just have some fun. I mean there has to be something that you enjoy about your friends or they wouldn't be your friends right? I mean I have a ton of friends that I think their music sucks but they still like some that I like. We may never go to the same shows but we have something else in common. But I still think its great if you want new friends as well. And if people are going to hate you they shouldn't be your friend anyway. Have you ever tried compromising with your friends? They come shopping with you and then maybe you can watch a movie of their choice afterwords?

Well I never used to be into anime either, but there are a few girly ones out there. That are really stupid but funny.
With friendships like this- they are complicated but can work. A few questions to as your self- are they there for you when somethings up? Are you there for them? Do they make you laugh? If you consider them friends why do you label them losers?
Things to consider.
If they are there for you, and you like being there for them, and they make you laugh, consider chaning the losers- to just odd.

If they are your friends then they will accept you, and more than likely if you feel that way about them, you are not a true friend, or you are trying to b something you are not, and they seem to fit in with it each other, making you the odd ball, so maybe it is you that is the loser!

Then stay friends with them but, well you could get a few other friends that liek the same things you do. like right now (this may be just the way my school is though) i can talk to almost everyone in my grade wihtout anyone thinking twice about it. it doesnt hurt to get a few new friends that liek the same things you do and still be friends with the people you are with now.

It's not wrong to be friend with them at all. But don't always think of them as "losers" because that may be a bit harsh, even if you keep it to yourself. I don't anyone will hate you as long as you accept everyone for who they are, "loser" or not. :-)

I have that same problem. My best friend is deeply into anime and I am the girly type. I hate that stuff, it drives me insane. Anyways, nothing is wrong. Just enjoy life what with you have.
