He played like a superstar today! And I would say that his performance has been able to put France in contention for the title.

i was totally blown away by his performance against spain. like everyone else said, never pin down a football icon, coz they always have something up their sleeves - especially one who's playing each match as if it's his last. he looked like he was really having fun tonight, i think that's why he played so well. i really hope he just gets better for the match against brazil though i bet he'll be a tightly marked man that night. brazil could've never forgetten what the "magician" did to them 8 years ago. hail ZIZOU!!!!
oooh..and that last goal by him was MARVELOUS!! i love that man's dribbling skills.. puyol never stood a chance against him. from the words of Simao Sambrosa "Goalkeepers become anxious just seeing him touching the ball."

Never bet against Zizou. People forget that France were so bad in 2002 because Zidane was not there to propel them. With Zidane in tow and Ribery in top form, Brazil's untested defence will be pierced. France will triumph over them again like they did in 86 and 98.

That was wonderful. It was so unexpected. No one saw it coming. Let him leave with a much-deserved glory for all he has done.
I just LOVE how the super players who are so critized come back and show the world that they still have quite a bit to give. First Ronaldo and now Zidane. And people wonder why the World Cup is so exciting.

i felt SOOOO happy!
everybody was making fun of him as he is getting older...
the magic(good ones) that happens during the additional time always thrills me!!!!
the goal was very good !
did you see the big smile on his face after that goal!!!
