I think her husband knew about her problems, how unstable she was, and left her alone with her children anyway. She had threatened to do that once before but was ignored. So therefore, I believe he should be in jail just like his psychotic ex-wife. He had the responsibility to do something but he did nothing. If someone helps someone else rob a bank, they are both charged with the crime. This should not be any different. He could have saved his kids, he chose to ignore it, maybe hoping it would go away on it's own. He had to know she wasn't playing with a full deck, just by some of the things she was saying. Even if he put the children in daycare temporarily while she got over her psychosis/post-partum depression/mental breakdown, those five beautiful children might still be alive today. It's a senseless tragedy that I believe could have been prevented. Now he is free to marry another woman, have a new family, he gets to walk away scott free.

He couldn't be charged, but he should have been charged for neglect. That woman was kept away from any help she might have gotten from family and friends and neighbors, all for the sake of some ultra-right-wing super conservative fundamentalist religious beliefs. No wonder she did what she did. However, there is a theory that the first responders might have been able to save the last children drowned if they had tried CPR immediately. That is also a form of neglect.

Yeah, I do believe so, he should have been charged too, instead of to live free, and to get a new wife.
She was depressed, and her husband as her family didn't cared, until she drowned her kids.
Too late, to say may be we could have avoid this disaster.

Her husband was NOT the one to hold each one of those children under water until they drowned. Maybe he should have had her locked up in a mental institution, but this was in NO WAY his fault! That sick bi*ch needs to get life in prison!

Nobody but her killed those kids. Abortion? No. PACk of rubbers and the PILL, yes! She still needs to pay for the most horible of crimes any Mother could do.
