I'm 3 weeks late, have a abit of cold, I've been taking Advil. I took a test yesterday and it was invaild, didn't even work. Do you think the advil had something to do with this? Has this happened to anyone else, where the test didn't work? Were you pregnant?

I haven't had that happen, but it's possible that the Advil was affecting it, or you just had a bad test. You should retest tomorrow morning with your first morning urine. This usually has the highest amount of the hormone tested for pregnancy. Good luck!

I take advil all the time and it never affected my test. The best thing to do is go to the doctor and tell them and let them take a test. I took a test once and it came back negative and I was 2 weeks late and I took a total of 4 test and everyone came back negative and I went to the doctor and found out that I had ovarian cyst and then some years later and it happened again and took 3 test and they were all negative and went to the doctor and they took a blood test and it was positive. You should go to the doctor to make sure.

No, it wasn't the advil, just a bad test. However, if you think you are pregnant stop taking the advil!

You should probably see your doctor for a test. Since you are sick and have been taking advil/cold medicine it could be making the preg. test come out invalid or it could be masking or adding to pregnancy symptoms.

I too have a lot of invalid readings. Did you read the instructions carefully cause believe it or not some of them you have to put upside down to get a accurate reading. others i thing maybe to close to there expiration date or are just bad. I learned to get First Response I have never got an invalid reading with them and I feel confident in them. Good luck. I hope the results are to your satisfaction.

Take another test, and if you think you could possibly be pregnant, please don't take any more Advil.
Switch to Tylenol - it's safer for the baby....better yet - Why don't you make an appointment with your OBGYN?

An ounce of prevention and all that jazz :-)

I wish you all the luck!
