can anyone add me to messenger and walk me through fixin this?

Go to VIEW then TOOLBAR on the top menu of your Internet Explorer and there should be an option for either yahoo toolbar or standard toolbar. Just click on it and enable it. I dont know which toolbar you have so you might want to put a check next to the toolbar you want and disable it or enable it as you wish.

You could do a System Restore
back to a date when your toolbar
appeared the way you want it

just click at system try part ( where you can see date/time) and drag to bottom side
