One thinkg OTs can address is health and well-being. Believe it or not, this can including educating people on better nutrition, time management, organization, anddelineating roles in their lives. This is just a start. OTs often work in psychosocial areas, working with people who are depressed, schizophrenic, etc. As far as receiving treatment, you need a doctor's order.

An occupational therapist works with people in order to improve their ability to complete their activities of daily living (dressing, bathing and some job tasks). If they are working on job related tasks, the occupational therapist (OT) will help the patient on recommending a possible career change or adapting the way the pt does their specific job so that they can still do it. If you have no limitations and no disabilities, you may be looking for a job consultant/counselor to help you determine a good job for you. An OT does not help you find an occupation, it is a misnomer. Good luck.

I think you'd have to make your own appointment with an occupational therapist, and go along and see if there is any benefit for you. Maybe its not what you think it is.

I'm not sure what you seeking, but there are many alternative therapies out there. Ask around, see what friends and colleagues are doing. Perhaps its one of the therapies that helps with posture and body wellbeing. Maybe a herbalist would be your answer.

I'm not sure whether you are just seeking to make life easier, because there is no therapy that does exactly that if you are fit and well to begin with.

There is no reason for a normal person to go to an occupational therapist. They are paid by insurance companies to treat people with disabilities. They more or less help you learn to eat and go to the toilet. Perhaps you are thinking of an occupational therapist as someone who helps you find an occupation. For this you should go to a vocational or career counselor. Perhaps you are stressed and tense. for this you should go to a massage therapist.
