I've loved books from the time I was a very young boy.

I used to buy a lot of new books...running to the bookstore every Friday to browse and bring home a bag full of great entertainment.

As I've become older and if not wiser, certainlty more patient, I've started waiting to buy the latest hot book until I can buy it used online or in a local used book store.

Books that I love I keep and read over and over. Others I donate to Planned Parenthood..they have a HUGE used book sale every year as a fund raiser. Nice to know my books get to bring pleasure to someone else...and benefit a great cause!

Borrow. From the library. Buying books is very expensive and how many times will you read a book again.

It depends...
If its a book by one of my favorite writers, I just buy the book. But if its a recommendation, I just get it from the library. Now, if I'm in a bookstore and I'm interested on a book, I just buy it right then and there, instead of wasting my time going to the library and looking for it...
Also, if its a book that I know I'll be reading off and on for a long time, I just buy it! Otherwise, if I get it from the library, I can only keep it for 3 weeks, and can only renew it 3 times.

Our library system has a second hand prose book sale four times a year. At the end of the weekend, they have five dollar bag day. Half priced bookstore is good, too. I home school my kids so I like to own a lot of books, the library borrowing system doesn't work too well for me.
