Ever heard the phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover"? Unfortunatly everyone does. We see the ugly person in the scraggily clothes and we automatically assume that they are stupid and don't have any education what so ever, a pretty person, people usually think- Oh she must have a lot of money, or she's gifted with looks so she must not be gifted with brains, or she must be easy, or be snobby. Which in most cases simply isn't the case.
People have their pre conceptions of others and see others and judge them before we get a chance to know them. And sometimes our pre conceptions are right and sometimes they're wrong- it does happen.

I had the same problem all throughout high school. I think that it is human nature to always try to bring others down whenever you see someone who is "more" than you are. Whether they have more brains, beauty, money, etc. Most people refuse to just be happy for others, and rather than giving you a chance, they have these preconceived notions about who you are as a result of the things that God has blessed you with. There are a lot of beautiful girls out there that have god-awful personalities and do make a strong effort to make others feel like they are "less than" because they aren't on the same level as they are. And those people create a negative stigma for all attractive people, both male and female. So you can consider it a double-edged sword. Being beautiful makes it easier for you to some of the great opportunities that life has to offer, but it also makes it more difficult to find true friends. You know, the kind that don't secretly wish that you are publically humiliated or hit by a car. The best way to deal with it, is to be the best person that you can be and not worry about what everyone else thinks. Because at the end of the day, your opinion of yourself is the only one that truly matters!

oh please. 'Pretty' people have it so easy, right from starting school the divisions are evident. The pretty girl is always in the right, the pretty girl is always chosen to do 'special' jobs in the class. The pretty girl learns that doors will always open for her so she doesn't have to try as hard as the less aesthetically pleasing. Pretty people get let off speeding fines, (statistically proven) Pretty people have higher self esteem, more confidence and less mental health issues connected to their own self worth.
Pretty people get noticed more, don't get passed over as often as their 'ordinary' counterparts when it comes to getting guys, getting jobs, getting promotions. We live in a throwaway society where everyone is judged on looks and if you don't have the 'required' look you don't stand a chance.
My heart bleeds if you're going to complain that life dealt you a bad hand because you consider you're pretty.

I know this younger girl that is gorgeous...I mean like she's like cause car accidents kind of gorgeous and she has the same problem. Apparently, girls are very competitive and when a girl is way hotter than them, they feel threatened and start actin' all rude, especially if they are with thier friends and she is all alone...I can't tell you why or what to do about it except maybe you should find a few more fine young ladies like yourself to hang-out with, so you have someone on your side. People can be cruel.

Studies have shown that you are 100% wrong. Beautiful people have much better and easier lives than ugly ones. Almost from birth. The true question is why are so many Goodlooking people ugly people?

we are superficial because you live in America. where everyone has to be pretty or close to, because the prettier you are the better you. it hard to stay pretty and perfect enough for EVERYONE because they all have differ ant expectations.
