People who are not self confident do not look you in the eye when they speak to you. This is a major clue.

It's usually pretty obvious in how they act. Some people are good at putting up a front that they are confident but everyone has doubts about their decisions at some time or another.

I'm afraid it's not an easy question to ask. Body language usually turns you in, if you lack self cinfidence. The tone of your voice too. But I guess no one can tell you for sure. Lots of confident-looking people are actually frightened to death on the inside.

I cannot always tell, b/c some people hide it very well by acting confident. But easiest way to tell is by their body language; the way they walk, eye-contact, hand gesture, body posture, etc. etc.

Oh goodness, in just about any way you can imagine:
Audio: Speaks softly, a lot of 'umms' and 'uhhs', breathes heavily, has trouble speaking out/gets cut off a lot, etc.
Visible: Not well groomed, holds head down, lack of eye contact, closed appearance (hands folded in front), etc.
Additionally there are indicators such as the job, socioeconomic status, beliefs, the list goes on forever.

Yes people can tell because you are not comfortable around others or with yourself. You do not stand up or have a voice. And fear shows in your eyes. Things like that.

Everything we say is 90% body language, 7% tone, and 3% actual words.
If you have no confidence, they'll read it off of you before you can even speak.

yes its possible. this person will be shy. and when he speaks he gets his words jumbled up and has a nervous tone in his voice. When he asks a question he will do so leaving room in his statement for you to deny his request.
