Overwhelming has meaning different meanings, but basically it means a overpowering feeling or an intense feeling. It could be anything from feeling overwhelming defeated, have overwhelming joy, or when you are around someone you have this overwhelming feeling of danger that makes you feel nervous around that particulary person.
