The pass has to be kicked before the player crosses the line. The first goal looked legit to me, it was just a matter of ronaldo outrunning the defenders. The 2nd and 3rd were the ones that looked offsides from the replays I saw.

The player cannot be offside if he does not interfere with the game. If the player who scored the goal was onside when the ball was played, even if another player was offside ~ the goal will stand. A player can only be offside, if and only if he influences the play.

There is a thing called "passive off-side". This happens when the player who is off-side is not the target of the pass and completely out of the play. This is 100% refs call and I'm pretty sure not many fans know about this exception to the off-side rule. I believe this was the case with at least one of the goals Brazil scored.

Another possibility is that FIFA instructed refs to take it easy on off-side calls and let the players play when unsure about the call

All of the goals were offside even the announcer who was so cheering for Brasil said it was an offside.

because they made their runs after the ball was kicked...its quite simply if you actually understand the off-side rule.
