If you answered no, what would it take for you to turn the wallet in? (ex. pictures of kids, elderly photos, etc.)

There is no chance of getting caught!

I would try to find the owner of the wallet and return it to them directly by getting information from drivers license etc. It's still stealing even if you found it like that.

Once I found a wallet in the airport. I didn't even check the contents, I just checked it in to the Lost and Found. If I were starving and penniless, I might take at least some of the money, but if that were the case, I probably would not be in an airport.

I would try to find out who it belonged to and try to contact that person. If unsuccessful I would take some money out of the wallet to mail it to the owner. Otherwise I would turn it into the police.

It could happen to me so "do onto others as you would have them do onto you"

Now if I found a briefcase with $1,000,000 in it I would keep it because it's probably drug money. I would hold onto it for a few days, if it was a legitimate loss then I'm sure I would hear about it on the news then I would turn it in.

Yes I would turn in the wallet that might be the only money some people have. They may have a family to take care of.

Found not a wallet but a purse in a shopping cart with well over a thousand dollars in it did return it.Although it probably would have been a different outcome if i had known at the time about the person to who had owned it.

Yes, I would turn it in and get a receipt. If it didn't get claimed it would be mine. Just think of how you would feel if you lost a wallet like that? Either you are honest or you aren't.

YES! I would and have returned it! Now I was very lucky once and found over$200 in a parking lot.I gave my name and number to customer services and said if anyone came to them missing $$$ then have them call me.After 3 months I kept the money. But if there is identification,it should always be returned imagine how you would feel if it was you.♥

Absolutely. It isn't mine to keep. I would hope that there would be ID inside to track down it's owner. Doing the right thing when no one can see it is a vitally important activity. Taking these little "shortcuts" don't really help you; instead they hinder your foundation for making good long-term decisions.

I would turn it in for the very simple reason IT IS NOT MINE! I would hope someone would realize that it's still stealing even if you "find" it because you are given the choice to take or turn it in.
