Here's the CORRECT answer. Rob Van Dam is the current WWE champ. He won the title at ECW's One Night Stand. He successfully defended it last night 6/26/06 on Raw. He also holds the freshly created ECW world title, which he will retain when he loses the WWE belt to either Edge or John Cena. He won't keep the WWE belt for long; they are just generating some heat for a few more Raw & ECW shows (like ECW on the SCI FI channel tonight 6/27/06),and Sat. Night's Main Event. He'll eventually lose the belt back to a WWE star. Bank on it.

The WWE champ is RVD from ECW and if it wasnt for Edge it would have been Cena and the World heavy Weight Champion is Rey Mysterio

RVD, After leaving in a huff earlier in the night, Edge returned to interrupt the WWE Championship Match. The Rated-R Superstar attacked John Cena as he had Rob Van Dam trapped in the STFU and laid out both men. RVD, won to a disqualification.

The CURRENT and reigning WWE Champ is none other than Mr Monday Night, Mr PPV, MR $ITB, The WHOLE FN SHOW.....do it with me peoples...ROB VAN DAM!
After 16 years in this business and busting his *** every night to entertain us all. Also after going from ECW to WWE and getting more over than ANYONE (INCLUDING CENA) He FINALLY gets his chance to run with the big belt.
More important, he is NOW the NEW ECW Heavyweight Champion of the World!!!

RVD, and the WWE is making a big mistake by not giving it to Edge.
If Edge ever gets the title again, it will be at SNME. Hopefully it wont go to Cena, because if it does, im just gonna stop watching it.

I don't care, just don't give it back to Cena and for God's sake get rid of that damn chav looking spinny crap shiny CD belt!
It looks cheap. Figures why Cena had it for so long and why he wants it back.
It's about time they give HBK a shot, Benoit when he returns or move Undertaker to Raw and give him the belt so he can make the ministry of darkness again.
