Everyone knows that the first thing a person will look twords is the condom, and although it offers some protection things can still go wrong (it has a hole, its a cheep brand, wrong size, or past its experation date). And other meathods like the pill could cause problems for both you and your partner (women can develop abnormalites and the hormones from the pill can cause men to develop female characteristics). And of course there is the not so safe safe sex (AKA Pulling out), and we all know how that turns out (Pregnet Girl: I didn't know pre-*** could get you pregnet).

NOTE: This question is not ment to offend anyone, if you disagree with what I'm saying then just ignore me, I'm not here to judge anyone, I'm just asking "WHAT DO YOU THINK IS SAFE SEX?"

I think people are misunderstanding, what I meant to ask was "What do you think is the safest meathod". This does not mean that I'm trying to look for help. I know where the reality is, every time I have sex I'm ready to deal with the fact that after it is over, I could be a father, and I know the safest sex is no sex (I POINTED IT OUT MYSELF). I want to know what you think will keep you from pregnacy.

BTW: No, I don't think Pregnacy is a disease and I feel sorry for the men, women, and parents out there that think it is. A child should never come into this world unwanted!

For my husband and I, the "safest way" to have sex, either to avoid getting pregnant, or to get pregnant, is by using the FAM method, or Fertility Awareness Method. Toni Weschler's book "Taking Charge of Your Fertillity" has been a great way for us to have unprotected sex (within marriage) without being worried about getting pregnant, or making sure we do it at the right time if we're ttc. It's taught me a lot about my body and what's going on. It's hormone-free and over 98 % effective. And we hate condoms, but will use them to avoid pregnancy over my fertile time.

However, this isn't a great method to use if a woman has multiple sex partners due to the risk of STDs.

Hope this answered your ?

It depends on your personal comfort level. My boyfriend I usually just rely on my birth control pill which I take perfectly (so I have 99+% protection). I trust my pill and I know what I would do if it failed. If pregnancy is absolutely NOT an option for you, but you still want to have sex, doubling up on birth control is best - using a hormonal method (such as the pill) and condoms. This is also good if STD/STI's are of concern. My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 5 years, so we no longer always use condoms (when we do it is for easy clean-up).

If you use both a condom and a hormonal method, your risk is 3/1000 of getting pregnant, I believe - so it is very effective. Then if the condom breaks, you are also protected, and don't have to worry about getting Emergency Contraception.

There is no such thing as completely safe sex. Even with a condom of pregnancy blocking pills, things can go wrong and you could get pregnant. The only 100% sure method is to keep your legs crossed and don't do it (needless to say, that is no fun!). You take the risk of becoming pregnant every time you have sex no matter what contraceptive method you are using. Contraceptives only reduce the risk.

Safer sex, what I'm settling for because I really enjoy sex, is a combo of condoms and the pill for me. The modern pill is actually a lot better for you than it used to be, and can regulate your cycle, stop cramps, and lighten your period.
It makes me feel safer and allows me to survive the occasional condom mishap without turning hysterical.
I don't sleep with people I consider truly "dangerous" partners, because hey, condoms break.
Sex (whether you think of pain, vulnerability, disease, death, emotional pain, the chance your partner might murder you) is never truly safe. But that's part of why I enjoy it so much. It's always a risk.

The only 100% effective form of birth control is abstinence (not having sex). So I would have to say that unless you are willing to accept becoming pregnant, should it happen, that you shouldn't be sexually active. Now, I know that isn't practical, so I would recommend using several forms of birth control at the same time. Unless you are in a long term, committed, one person relationship you should be using a condom to protect yourself from STDs EVERY time you have sex. Adding spermicidal foam or a diaphragm or BOTH would lessen your chances of becoming pregnant.

Oral sex won't get you pregnant, but it's still not entirely "safe" considering all the diseases out there.

As far as intercourse, the girl should be on the pill and using a diaphragm, and have the guy double-bag it and pull out.

Of course, you could just not have sex and then you wouldn't have to worry about getting pregnant...but that wouldn't be any fun now, would it???

Get yourself one of those new Cyberskin silicon dolls online, for about $6 grand. There's 4-6 different body/head types, full size, three orfice openings. Never a worry about pregnancy. You can even dress her up, or down. And for the ladies, they have male versions too. Imagine that, a nice hard always ready one that you can ride up and down. Sex without risk!

The only safe sex is no sex! You;ve pretty much answered your own question there but I do have to point this out... Unless the guy is taking the birth control pills then they will NOT affect him in anyway!!

so far, self masturbation does not get a disease...abstinance is the best and safest thing anyone can do without an open and honest relationship that has to include hygiene and history if you are not in a long term committed relationship...

The only safe sex is no sex. Like you pointed out, every other method is imperfect. Even people who "double up" get pregnant. If you're not ready for the consequences, don't have sex. :)
