Call Cit Bank - than take it to your local bank have them verfiy it - it may need to be turned over to the police - if it is a counterfit - There are so many scams on line anymore, and not just on the internet, it is all over - if you cash it, and it is not a legal check you are liable for it - regardless, and if it is with Cit Bank, it is away for them to get you (suckered into) a high loan, since you are cashing it - The old saying still holds true "If it sounds too good to be true - it problye isn't" Nothing is Free! One way or another you will be paying for the money...

You have to be kidding! If the check is made out to you, you know where the money came from. If you don't call Citi Bank and have it verified. There are more scams out there than most of us have time. Get rich quick scams are the prevailing ones, since we tend to be so greedy as a population.

Call them and find out what is going on. It is probably one of those that is a loan with a high interest rate. Don't cash it until you find out what it is for.

It's a loan. You'll have to pay it back plus interest.
