In the US courts when somebody repeats what someone else says it's called hear-sayand does not hold up in court. When a desciple in the bible repeats what Jesus said it goes unquestioned by many. Can anyone tell me where in the bible that Jesus himself writes that gay love is a sin? Not one of his desciples and thier hear-say. I really would like to know where Jesus or God wrote themselves that being gay is a sin.

Jesus himself I don't believe was ever quoted on speaking about the subject of homosexuality, but the subject is mentioned in the bible's old testiment in the:

Book of Leviticus:Chapter 20: verse 13:
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

In Leviticus it discusses how God spoke to moses and gave laws to the hebrews. You will also find in this book other laws against things like Bestiality and Incest.

Just to clarify, Paul wasn't one of Jesus' Disciples (or at least, not of the 12 Apostles). He never heard the word of Jesus - never met the man, because he was too busy living the life of a Roman citizen. It was only after his conversion, on the road to Damascus that he was converted from Saul to Paul and expressed the ways of the Lord (as he saw them - once he'd regained his sight).

It is ONLY St Paul who mentions Homosexual acts in the New Testament, Neither Jesus nor the Twelve ever did.

Ok, this is going to be long, so bear with me. The people who say that the bible says that homosexuality usually use the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Now, many people take the bible literally, when it is not meant to be taken as so. The fable of Sodom and Gomorrah was a warning about being bad hosts, NOT about homosexuality. Jesus never said anything about homosexuals.
May I also remind people that the Bible isn't God's word exactly, it's God's word as translated by man. There has been many additions and subtractions, for example, King James had the word WITCH put into the Bible because of HIS own fear that WITCHES were trying to kill him.
And for those who want to argue those facts, and still say homosexuals are sinners, you forget that the bible says-" Judge not, lest ye be judged"-Matthew 7:1, "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you"-Matthew 5:44

Not once did Jesus say anything directly about homosexuality; however, there is a parable about Jesus who was approached by a Roman Centurion. (Link to this story is below.)
By the way, JC *DID* say quite a bit about heterosexual behavior. Not that they are bad; they just need a little more supervision than us. Anyway...

The Centurion by approaching Jesus: 1) risked losing his life,
2) risked losing family and friends and, 3) placed his reputation and job in jeopardy if #1 hadn't occured already. Why?
He asked Jesus to heal his dying slave (or "pais")

Jesus listened to him and then said (and I'm paraphrasing here), "Go back home. When you get there he will be healed". The Centurion went home and found his slave in good health.

What makes this parable unique is that this man of the Roman Empire is not just a soldier, he is a Centurion -- a man of ranking status in service to Rome and the Emperor who, by the way, was quite threatened by Jesus. The Centurion dared to approach this upstart rabble rouser who already "had a price on his head" and was considered an enemy of Rome.

Slaves, were worth less than a nice piece of furniture. They were a dime per three dozen. When one could not perform their tasks, they were discarded or killed. No one would risk his reputation, much less his life, over something as insignificant as a slave. Yet this Roman official did.

Jesus recognized the relationship between the Centurion was more than an Owner/Slave relationship. He recognized that a deep love was present for this "boy" ("pais" is translated from the Greek to mean young lover of an older man, by the way). Aside from him saying that "eunichs" were to be allowed into the kingdom of heaven, this was the only reference to same-sex love that Jesus made. ("Eunich" was often used interchangeably to describe both homosexuals and true eunichs.)

Many will tell you this is nothing more than an example of Jesus' charisma, with entire sermons (apparently) being based on this. Which may very well be true.

More importantly, what is ignored and completely overlooked is the obvious: the Centirion's relationship with his lover and how Jesus responded. Far from condemning them, Jesus recognized the presence of love between the Roman and his "slave" and allowed it to continue by saving the slave's life.

Kewl story, huh? Check it out via the link below. Not being a Christian I've learned so much about what the Bible really says about homosexuality...plus a few other things!

The Bible was written by mankind and hence may be subject to the same distortions as what occurs when humans report anything. For example, if God appeared and said things to me - God's word would be perfect without a doubt, but me passing it on to the rest of mankind might not be. Imagine the following example:

God says to me "I feel sorry for homosexuals,"

If I were gay, I could preach that God feels sorry for homosexuals because of the homophobia in mainstream society.

If I were homophobic, I could preach that God dislikes homosexuality. Get more homophobes, and it will be "God hates homosexuals".

I personally believe that God loves everyone irrespective of their sexuality. He might not like certain sexual acts (e.g. promiscuity) but he doesn't stop loving everyone.

The Bible is a God-inspired. Meaning, God was in control of what was written in the Bible and He told the writers what to write.

There is NO place in the bible that says that homosexuality is a sin. There are things that people today that do not take the time to study any part and just go and repeat it without real knowledge are the only people you will here say that there is a sin in loving anyone. You do not get further from God than believing that love is against God. So do not believe. If you want specific scriptures that people use to "prove" their point, email me and I will give you their misconceptions as where as where it really came from and what the bible actually says in hebrew. God is love, do not believe anyone who tells you that God is against love.

Jesus was the son of God sent to form a new contract between man and himself , When Jesus was on this earth he preached and taught the terms of that contract he was sent to administer . In order for that contract to be valid and binding it had to be sealed with blood so Jesus died to save the world from sin . Never in his 35 years on this earth did he ever mention the sin of homosexuality or anything pertaining to that sin . If homosexuals were going to be condemned he would have said so . Paul who had many problems including loving a man who was a slave and the property of another . Paul wrote to the man and ask that the slave be released and allowed to join him " as I can not be without him with me " . I say to you that Paul was in love with this man and wanted him by his side . It is well known that Paul had no love of women and felt that they had no place in the church . He also felt that men should not have sex with women unless they were married , his rantings go on and on . I say to you all if we take everything that Paul says literally then we would all be condemned of almost everything we do . Jesus was about love , forgiveness and tolerance . He welcomed all people to him and love them , so the homosexual is no different .

(Jesus is NOT a HOMOSEXUAL! Whoever is spreading this ridiculous rumor should have a very painful death!I don't belive that and I personally would like to kill that person myself. -Just to get that off my chest...ha ha. Ahem, Homosexuality is a sin though... I know God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Why d'you think Sodom and Gomorrah was desroyed? Jesus never skimmed the surface on homosexuality, but yes being a homosexual is a sin.

Well, you must know that the Bible is the inspired word of God, meaning God told the writers exactly what to write. You can find numerous places in the Bible that say homosexuality is a sin.
