I love Randy johnson, but you can't ignore Johan Santana. Dude is money with his changeup. Here is a guy who can win on a $hitty team that can't hit! Johan has not only been the best lefthanded pitcher, he has been the best pitcher the past 2-3 years.
Fransico Liriano is an up and comer too, watch out for him.
Unit is great, but he is clearly way past his prime. one of the best pitchers of all time though, no question about that.

Johan Santana wins this one easily. Disgusting stuff. Won a Cy Young playing in Minnesota, meaning he wasnt getting any run support what-so-ever.

Soon Scott Kazmir will be the answer to this question. Shifty lefty with a great fastball and crazy breaking stuff. Wins games on the Devil Rays. The most telling this is how often he beats the big boys of the divisions. Has something like 6 wins in two years against the Red Sox.

Barry Zito!!! he started the season off slow, going like 1-2, but now hes rebounded and is 8-3, by the end of the season he should have 20 Ws

Come on , this isnt even close. Johan Santana is the best PITCHER in the game, righty or lefty, and no one is even in the ballpark with him.

Ask the Astros who the best lefty is..... I bet they'll tell you it's Francisco Liriano. His slider is unhittable.

1. Liriano
2. Santana
3. Zito
