Any help i can get with this would be great... possibly the rest of the lyrics could be do you believe in the ways of magic.... its a 70's female vocalist...ive heard other songs with her in it on the radio.. she has an amazingly powerful voice....the instruments in the song are quiet compared to her voice. I have looked all over for the name of the band, but sadly those are the only lyrics that get stuck in my head....not much to work with but any help would be great........
PS ITS NOT THE LOVIN SPOONFUL'S DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC

Sounds like it could be Cher.....

Believe
(after love after love...)
No matter how hard I try
You keep pushing me aside
And I can’t break trough
There’s no talking to you
It’s so sad that you’re leaving
It takes time to believe it
But after all said and done
You’re gonna be the lonely one, ooh

Do you believe in love after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough, no
Do you believe in love after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough, no

What am I supposed to do
Sit around and wait for you
Well I can’t do that
And there’s no turning back
I need time to move on
I need love to feel strong
’cos I’ve had time to think it trough
And maybe I’m too good for you, ooh

Do you believe in life after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough, no
Do you believe in life after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough, no

But I know that I’ll get trough this
’cos I know that I am strong
I don’t need you anymore, I don’t need you anymore
I don’t need you anymore, no I don’t need you anymore

Do you believe in love after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough, no
Do you believe in love after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough, no

Do you believe in life after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough, no
Do you believe in life after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough, no

Could it be Cher's "Do you believe in life after love"?

That was in the 90's I think, but Cher was a 70's star.

That is Cher. I would think that she would still be singing but i don't think she's done that much singing after her husband and singing partner, Sunny Bono, died in a terrible skiing accident.

I vaguely remember Fleetwood Mac having a song something like that. Stevie Nicks is who would have sang it. Hope that helps.
