I gotta agree, Joe Crede is having a heck of a year. I also think Travis Hafner should be starting(sorry, I'm a Cleveland fan).and I think Grady Sizemore should make it. Jermaine Dye is having a solid year, and deserves consideration. And what is up with Jason Varitek leading at catcher. I think everyone who voted for him should have their ballot thrown out, and their heads sewn to the carpet. Lets not forget about Tom Glavine. He should be collecting social security by now, instead he is leading the Majors in wins. I just Hope Guillen makes fair selections, and doesnt get 3/4 of his starting lineup in the game, the way Joe Torre has done in the past. Good luck Sox fans, its too late(again) for my dear (pathetic) Tribe to be thinking postseason.

This is mostly for the guy who seems to not like Jason Varitek.
The intelligent fan chooses Varitek because of his on-field and off-field ability. He makes pitchers better because he knows how opposing batters work. He chooses what pitches to throw where to certain batters because they are more likely to miss there.
And everyone knows the starting 9 will consist of mostly Red Sox and Yankees, because they are the two biggest teams with the biggest fan bases and therefore, the most votes. Hopefully, Guillen will pick a fair and balanced team for the AL.

ok for the AL, somebody besides yankees and red sox!!! like all the starters so far are either on the yankees or the red sox, this is very stupid because since most people are fans of one or the other of the teams in baseballs most overrated rivalry, the allstar game will be full of no one except players who play on the yankees or the sox. in fact, instead of calling it the all-star game lets call it the "yankees-red sox vs. mets-cardinals game"
