I think of George Washington and the cherry tree story. Honesty is the best policy especially when you have parents like the ones George Washington had. Otherwise, honesty - not telling a lie- can land you in hot water. However, I believe in principles; and all the story is saying is that there are consequences for every decision and it is important to expect them- good or bad. My sister was training as a nurse and the supervisor went out with someone other than her husband.When my sister was asked the whereabouts of the person, she said that the person was not available- the truth.My sister was expected to 'cover' for her.Something went wrong and the person said that my sister would never be a nurse as long as she was in charge of nursing. My sister became a superb teacher but her heart was in nursing...Speak the truth and speak it ever, cause you what it may;
