Sorry I'm not a horror fan. I do have 2 big production movies that I like.
2001 A Space Odyssey. It really broke a lot of rules in the SCFI industry. No endorsement for 2010.
E. T. It ran the full gambit of emotions, I was very impress with the handling of such an obtuse subject.

The Hills Have Eyes...is not that great! Stay clear! It is predictable! If you've seen Texas Chainsaw Masacre, then you have seen The Hills Have Eyes!
Want a great movie...get A History of Violence! It gruesome!
