This depends on various factors. First of all, you have to take into consideration whether the needles are sterile or not. Non-sterile needles, and worse yet, rusty or dirty needles could cause infections. This might also depend on whether you are just piercing dead skin or reaching live skin. The barrier is a thin one and not easily dsitinguished. However, if you are just superficially piercing dead skin with a common needle, there should be no complications

no, as long as you dont hit a blood vessel, you should be fine. and since its in the dead skin, it wont cause any pain, as im sure u found out.

LOL, i used to do that to my fingers! it's fine, just make sure they're clean needles, you never know when you might go too deep
