I have an interesting theory that superstitions were basically started by obsessive/ complusive personalities long before there was a word for it. So just out of curiosity, I was wondering what superstitions out there that are very feared and avoided sort of speak, and which ones are just ignored and laughed at. Any thoughts you might have on superstitions would be great too.

I'm not superstitious at all, but I really hate being touched by someone trying to show where his or her pain is.
I laugh when reading on the old superstitious people, how they combinate some animals with bad luck, or good luck.
Laugh at people of what they might believe in, even if it is their religion, but I am very tolerant too.

I only have one thought about superstition:

When I am taking tests, if I sign my name at the very start of the tets, I'll do worse than I would if I waited to sign my name after I finished the test.

That started in 6th grade, and I've been doing it ever since (I just finished high school)

Being consumer-pleasant I actually have not in any respect been superstitious ! So strolling below a Ladder, breaking a mirror & getting 7 years undesirable success, throwing Salt over my shoulder & seeing a Black Cat etc. does no longer problem me contained in the slightest ! certainly I actually have a impressive one hundred% Black Cat !

how much of a baby am i? If i wake up in the middle of the night, i will not roll over or open my eyes. For some reason, i think that if there is a crazy murderer/psycho killer looming over my bed, they will leave me alone if i don't open my eyes or move...
I'm an adult by the way--not a little kid. I'm 30 it's totally irrational, but it works for me

The one i most fear is ghosts and spirets, bad ones. I fear them because i believe that they exist, and not only that but i've had some weird expirences that doesn't really help my paranoria. The funny ones to me are the ones like "a black cat crossing your path" or "bad luck if you spill the salt".

Not exactly feared, but there is the one that you can't give someone a knife as a gift - they have to buy it off you (a penny or anything symbolic works). Otherwise you have bad luck.

Broken mirrors. I know that there is no way it can be possible, but I have broken so many and I am one of the unluckiest people, so what else can it be?

I laugh at all of them. I'm not saying I'm better than anyone else but when you listen to others talk about them you just have to laugh!!
